As things move along nicely toward the launch of UI (yeah, courage to utter some initials is oh-so thrilling but sorry, no name to be shared yet), it really occurs to me how true it is that knowing what and how to do something is, in the extreme, so different than actually doing it.
Marketers are frequently faced with this challenge. “I know what I want to do, I know how to do it…but I can’t seem to figure-out how to move to the “doing” without being pulled into a black-hole of ‘figure-outness’.” If you can’t relate, then you're probably super smart, focused, and equipped with a strong staff and tools or I am over-dramatizing things (high probability). Oh well, you get the idea.
To execute properly and respect the high standard that so many of us hold dear there is certainly a constant requirement today (aside from rock-star talent at your side – or in your head). Enter cool technologies that allow us to be even better than we already know we are (I miss my slide rule and pocket protector). So many tools out there…so little time to figure it out…but I must and fast!
Boy, advocacy for the advancement of understanding in marketing application technology at an easy to grasp not overly technical level will be fun. But fear-not, I am surrounded by the right folks to help in that regard (ah HA! There’s my slide rule and pocket protector!).
